But it shows nearly 2'' deflection on the (supposedly) repaired rear lower control arm mount versus the undamaged mount on the other side. Looking more and more like that $600 was NOT well spent

Well, I just hope you used a hand saw, and not a circular saw blade. Most blades are pretty darn straight though. It's one of the first things they do before they sharpen. Can you get them to make a better repair?
